Rainman's Dream is a webpage dedicated to the super talented singer "Chihiro Onitsuka" whose lovely songs are like jewels.
Chihiro Onitsuka (鬼束 ちひろ, Onitsuka Chihiro) (born October 30, 1980) is a Japanese singer and songwriter. I first heard her voice in the film "Wasabi" starring "Jean Reno" and "Hirosue Ryoko". I was mesmerized by the song and sought her name in the final credits. The song was called "Rasen" or Spiral.
I found three more of her songs in internet before listening to any full album. They were Cage, Memai and Gekkou. I loved the songs and looked for complete albums. And I was never disappointed.
One thing that I like about her music is that the time of her songs are more than the average that is 4 minutes. Many of her songs are more than five minutes. And for an enjoyable song it's a gift to the listener.
Her music has something that makes me want to know more about the language, Japanese. I've heard many English songs but never wanted to learn English! Perhaps because I know a little but this desire for exploring the song, the meaning, the language and the country it is originated is something not every music might have.
